1 day 14 hours 19 min and 45 sec

Is the life of an African as important as the life of a European or American? That is the question!

And that is why I am abducting myself to be part of "The Rescue". African, European  or  American, we all His children.
Invisible Children has done amazing work over the last few years. They have rallied government officials and international groups and have STOPPED the abduction of children. However, there are still 3000 children who deserve to be RESCUED, to live with their families, go to school and just be children! Not children that carry machine guns and murder against their will!
JOIN US and the 68,920 committed people
in 1 day 14 hours 19 minutes and 45 seconds. Let's be the voice of these children!

Yum Yum.

Here are some random but delicious items I have been enjoying lately! And learning to use some cool new settings on my camera!

Dinner on the beach with Corey.

What's better then a Pina-Colada Cherry Slurpee when the heat wave comes to California. (With my cool new Rosemary plant in the background)

I had a DELICIOUS mint chocolate chip cupcake from Crumbs! Thanks Robin!

I heart the LRA

On April 25th, Invisible Children is hosting the "Rescue" in 100 cities across 10 countries to bring attention to the children abducted and forced to flight as soldiers. The event for Los Angeles is located at the Santa Monica Pier. We will be walking 2-3 miles, single file, to the City Hall where we will be spending the night! We are encouraging the Mogul's to come and "Rescue" us, to bring awareness to these children soldiers and bring them home. Please JOIN us. We will be meeting at our place at 2:30pm. Check out their website for additional information.

Early morning Thoughts.

This morning....actually as I am typing....Corey is having surgery. Surgery is a crazy concept. I better understand surgery from all the hours spent in the OR during nursing school. It's a comforting understanding to some point, but makes me a bit more nervous too! Once I became a nurse I became much more critical. I know what the best is and I want it done for the one I love.  However, God is teaching me peace! Peace in knowing His outcome is His perfect plan. That my worries and fears only show my lack of trust.

I was reminded in listening to last sundays message that everything in our life is temporal except our salvation in Jesus Christ. Our eternal life is what matters most. It's where I strive to place my worries and fears, and where my Hope and Joy begin. At the feet of Jesus.
