She's here!

Our precious little girl is here!....and she's already a month old! Yikes. I do apologize for such a delayed post. Amelia was born 8 days before her due date and surprised us all with a speedy delivery. She is perfect and healthy!

This first month with her has flown by! I was blessed to have Corey home for the first 2 1/2 weeks. I definitely needed his help, and he was amazing. At times it's still surreal that she's here and is our little girl. We are still in awe of her head of dark brown hair. Neither Corey or I had much hair, and it definitely wasn't dark! She is starting to have more periods of awake time, making new noises, and growing like a weed. She has already blessed Corey and I more then we can describe! Being a mom is a joy...but lot's of hard work too. It took some time in the beginning to adjust to the lack of sleep and the day being on her schedule. It has been a blessing to have my best friend Robin to share in this journey with. Her little guy (Amelia's best friend, though she might not know it yet) was born just over a week before Amelia. And thanks to the time change (their in England), and the wonderful iPhone, I have someone to chat with during the night time feedings :)

We are so excited for the journey ahead with this adorable little girl, and can't wait for you all to meet her!

6 Weeks and counting!

Here is the baby bump from today at 34 weeks! I can't believe how big this belly is getting. I feel like it even looks bigger in this picture. The babe has been growing like a weed and moving around like crazy. It's been fun getting the house ready and all her little clothes washed. We can't wait to meet her...in 6 ish weeks!

It's Fall!

Well at least most days have been feeling like fall! I love this time of the year when I can pull out the fall decorations, light the sweet smelling candles and enjoy the changing weather...and maybe even a bit of rain!

Yankee's Cranberry Harvest Candle smells delicious!

One of my favorite things about fall....the return of Trader Joes Pumpkin Muffin/Bread Mix. For boxed muffins, these things are amazing and addictive...especially just out of the oven. Yum- Yum!

Decorating with Candy Corn :)

Getting Crafty!

With some extra time on my hands....I have been crafty. Making some fun things for our little girl on the way and my many friends expecting babies too!

Since our little one will be born in the winter, and has quite a few dresses, she needed some stylish leg warmers. There were so easy and made from socks!

Cute little crocheted hat's for our winter babe.

This one is for the big girls. It's technically a headband/ear warmer stylish winter piece. I had been trying since last winter to perfect my pattern, and finally gave in and bought one from polkadotposh.com. It's adorable!

June Lake

In July, Corey and I met up with his parents while they were camping in June Lake. It was great to get away and explore Mammoth Mountains for the first time. I was blown away by how gorgeous it was.

A much needed update!

Wow! It's been way to long since my last post! Life has been flying bye and picture taking seems to be to the minimum lately :( Hopefully.....not for long! Corey and I have some fun upcoming summer trips, that will result in some picture taking. Here are just a few from the last few months!

I had an awesome time throwing a baby shower for my little sister and her baby boy on the way!
The adorable monkey cupcakes!

Cake Pops!

I have to start by Thanking bakerella.com for this fabulous idea. I had some free time on my hands that last few days and thought i'd try out this adorable recipe. Cake Pops, just like they sound-delicious cake made into a ball, on a stick and covered in candy :)

I will definitely be baking these tasty treats soon. And don't be discouraged...they are not as difficult as they might look!
It's simple: Bake a cake, when it's cool, crumble it all up and add in the frosting!

Next you form the batter into balls, add your sticks (with some candy coating on the end to help them stick better) and firm them up in the freezer.

You then roll the Cake Pops into Candy coating in any color you like. Decorate and let harden in a foam block.

First batch in white...tasted good but didn't stand out with the white frosting, white stick and Easter pastel sprinkles.

Loved them in red!

Washington, D.C.

I had the opportunity to travel to meet my husband in Washington D.C. after he finished a week long conference. We had such a great time walking throughout the city and exploring all the history. The weather was beautiful, the food was delicious and it was so awesome to have some time away with my darling husband.
