Cake Pops!

I have to start by Thanking bakerella.com for this fabulous idea. I had some free time on my hands that last few days and thought i'd try out this adorable recipe. Cake Pops, just like they sound-delicious cake made into a ball, on a stick and covered in candy :)

I will definitely be baking these tasty treats soon. And don't be discouraged...they are not as difficult as they might look!
It's simple: Bake a cake, when it's cool, crumble it all up and add in the frosting!

Next you form the batter into balls, add your sticks (with some candy coating on the end to help them stick better) and firm them up in the freezer.

You then roll the Cake Pops into Candy coating in any color you like. Decorate and let harden in a foam block.

First batch in white...tasted good but didn't stand out with the white frosting, white stick and Easter pastel sprinkles.

Loved them in red!

Washington, D.C.

I had the opportunity to travel to meet my husband in Washington D.C. after he finished a week long conference. We had such a great time walking throughout the city and exploring all the history. The weather was beautiful, the food was delicious and it was so awesome to have some time away with my darling husband.
