Were home from Haiti. The few days prior to our trip was a whirlwind. One moment the trip was on, the other moment it was cancelled. Just a day before the first team was scheduled to leave, we got final word that fuel was available and the trip was a go! Corey and I couldn't seem to get there fast enough. The logistic of the trip were difficult and the travel took longer then expected, but the Lord was at work. The trip was adventurous, joyful and saddening. I don't think I met with one Haitian who didn't have someone close to them die in the earthquake, and yet the Haitian people remain so strong.
At the hospital in Hinche, dozens of people lay in hospital beds, with fractures still awaiting surgery. We worked out of the hospital and clinic each day and even teamed up with some doctors from Virginia. Please keep praying for Haiti. In Hinche, there is an estimated 20,000 more people in the last week then prior to the quake. Food before was already in short supply. Please pray for God to be reveled to the people and that the right supplies and relief workers will get to the places needed most.
Pictures coming soon.
